Working for the Digital Disruptor
______

1
I got to work on so many fun and amazing projects while at HireVue. I helped build an on-boarding experience for "HireVue Coach." Previously we called it, "Accelerate." It is a tool that help sales reps improve their pitches. I also worked on the initial stages of HireVue Coach for desktop.

2
I lead the user testing and research on HireVue's Coordinate product—a scheduling tool that makes setting up a group interview so much quicker and easier. I worked closely with Josh Tolman, journey mapping with various recruiters who frequented career fairs, to better understand their scheduling struggles. Once I uncovered their pain points and what aspects of their process were most tedious, I was able to help solve a lot of their problems via my process on Coordinate. Scroll further down to see full case study.

3
I worked on several of our client integrations, including Chipotle and the Boston Red Sox—hey! Maybe the’ll win the World Series this year.

4
I worked on components for HireVue’s candidate facing application on desktop and through much iteration, collaboration with HireVue’s support team and customer feedback, I helped set up an email layout and "help" page that actually decreased the call volume for the support team.
I also used my illustration capabilities to help HireVue's sales team with their pitch decks.  I was even asked to create T-shirts that were given to individual employees as awards for their outstanding work. From time to time I would get requests to help out with marketing efforts or internal design needs.
1 |  HireVue "Accelerate" Coach
______
I explored several layout adjustments to improve a great tool for providing sales teams with coaching advice and beneficial feedback. I then got to work on some explorations for updating the UI patterns and overall look and feel of the product.
HireVue Coach for android
______
HireVue already had a great interviewing application for iOS. We wanted a similar experience for android users. Following android design guidelines and the general flow of HireVue's iOS app, I created the screens below, including all new illustrations for the on boarding experience.
2 |  HireVue Coordinate
______
At the time, HireVue Coordinate was a product that existed as a beta scheduling tool for assisting recruiters with the time consuming task of scheduling. There were several improvements I helped with from both a functional and visual design perspective. First, I interviewed several recruiters to understand their current process for scheduling. Specifically, for group interviews. I shared my screen with them while I created journey maps of their various processes for accomplishing this task. After listing their common pain points, I worked with my product manager to create user personas:
To elimnate the hassle of back and forth with interview attendees that recruiters experience, I devised a plan for them to simply login to HireVue Coordinate and set up the interview from there. An email would automatically be sent to candidates and interviewers from which they would be directed to a landing page where they could self schedule. I their schedules were to change, this condition would not take away more time from the recruiter's desire to recruit. Instead, recruiters would receive a notification of a change as well as interviewers and they could adjust their own schedules accordingly.

New Coordinate Flow
______
After much sketching, prototyping and internal testing, I came up with this flow:
A recruiter can start to typ a name or a tag (A tag refers to either a department or it could be a preset of people to interview as defined previously by the recruiter. "Tag" is an existing UI component in HireVue, so to be consistent with the rest of the UI I kept that verbiage instead of "departments."
Once a "Tag" has been chosen, e.g. "Admiral," a secondary menu is presented where the recruiter can define the quantity of interviewers needed from this given department or tag and they can also define if 1 or two from all tags or any tags should attend.
As of right now, I need 2 from either Admiral or 2 from Airman to attend.
This states that I need 1 Admiral and 1 Airman to attend.
Predictive text helps me complete my interviewer selection.
I can repeat the process. I now have a flexible group interview set up that handles all required conditions. Three interviewers will attend and you can guarantee that based on who the recruiter has chosen to interview that the candidate is in for an intense interview. :)
And that does it for Coordinate. This was one of the more complete problems I got to help solve while working at HireVue.
